We feel racing is an extremely strong tool with children, teenagers and adults to stay on the correct path of life which is DRUG & ALCOHOL FREE. Cody has a sticker on his kart, which is very important to him, and it says: Get High on Life not on Drugs. Racing gives the children and teenagers a special gift in life, self-esteem. It is amazing at the track to watch the kids make life long friendships and realize when they are on that track there are no friends, but still be able to come off the track and be best friends yet again.

There are programs in South Carolina that unite education with the racing life. The purpose of the program is to stimulate learning in the elementary and middle school classrooms by tying racing to things like math, reading and science. This program is sponsored by Racing For Kids magazine and Team Amick Motorsports NASCAR Busch Series team, driver Lyndon Amick and the South Carolina Department of Education's Character Education Partnership Committee. I feel that racing is not just a fun family sport. Racing can and is much more than that, it can promote self-esteem and personal motivation.
