Ashleigh's Grave Blanket 2001

This year we took the grave blanket to Thanksgiving at Mimi & Papa's with us. After dinner we got it out, and each member of our family added an angel ornament or gold bell. Our whole family went down to the cemetary with us. This has become our new tradition for Thanksgiving. Thank you all for supporting us!!!!

~ Ashleigh's Memorial at Christmas 2001 ~
This Year when we went to Mimi's for Christmas,
she had this surprise waiting on us.

We had asked everyone in our family to write down a memory of Ashleigh or write a letter to her to put in the stocking. Everyone did, and Mimi made this special corner in Ashleigh's memory. She also had a basket of pictures sitting out of Ash, an angel pin for Mom, and little angel bears for each of us. Thank you all, we will always cherish these.

The memory stocking started when I asked Ashleigh's friend, Jessie, to see if their friends would write down memories of Ashleigh for us. She went way beyond that though. Jessie got together with her teacher, Mr. Shriver, and ste up an "Ashleigh Bruner Memory Box" at the high school. We got some very special memories from her friends. Thank you to Jessie, Stephanie, Anne, Krissy, Jenna, Aubrey, Ashley C., an anonymous classmate, and Mr. Shriver.

Mimi had also ordered balloons for every member of our family to let off at the cemetary this Christmas.
